NIS further distinguishes itself by earning Microsoft's Gold Partner Status

NIS, today announced it has attained Microsoft's Gold Certified Partner status, this follows it's achievement as an IBM accredited business partner. The company continues to endorse it's expertise and impact in the technology marketplace. An Environmentally Green Project Supporting over a 100 users…..

Network Integrity Services has recently completed a cutting edge Virtualisation project utilising their VMware and Microsoft Server 2008 expertise. The client is one of the North East’s largest independent merchants.

The project will support over 100 users across more than 8 locations in the UK processing large transaction volumes in a customer facing environment. The VMware infrastructure will consist of two large IBM rack servers with high availability.  The set-up will remove the need to have more than a dozen physical severs thereby saving energy costs whilst catering for server failover as a low cost option.

Falconstor customers seeing 448% ROI

A new study by analysts at IDC have found from a survey of Falconstor customers that they were achieving an excellent return on investment of 448% with a payback period of less than 6 months, alongside significant improvements in system reliability.

The customers involved had all deployed one or more of the Falconstor VTL, NSS and CDP solutions to improve their data protection strategies.

Falconstor release CIFS and NFS deduplication system

Network Integrity Services partners Falconstor have launched their newest storage product, the File-interface Deduplication System, which significantly reduces the amount of disk space required to store your backup and archive data, achieving a reduction of as much as 20 times.

Combining block-level deduplication with industry-standard CIFS and NFS connectivity,  the Falconstor FDS storage array is the easiest way to migrate your legacy backup systems to modern disk based technology, and the ability to perform multi-site replication gives you an easy and affordable way to significantly improve your DR abilities.

Network Integrity Services purchases Ulysses IT

Following on from our successful integration of the Canto Technologies business, NIS are pleased to announce we have purchased Leicester based Ulysses IT.

Ulysses IT provide a range of computer support services across the UK, and will continue to trade as a separate business.

Martin Spencer, one of the directors of NIS, said Ulysses IT is an awesome business, “The company has a fantastic reputation within the industry and is a company Leicester should be proud of. We are not planning to change anything about the business. There’s no reason to; nothing is broken. The business will stay in Leicester with the same name, same staff, and same great customer service.”

Network Integrity Services partner Falconstor have launched a fantastic offering for all small and medium sized businesses, a free iSCSI SAN virtual machine. The Falconstor Network Storage Server (NSS) virtual appliance lets SMBs gain the benefits of storage virtualization, advanced provisioning, and enterprise quality data protection, without making the massive investment typically required by traditional storage providers.

The Falconstor NSS virtual machine can be deployed on new or existing VMware environments, and re-uses existing storage devices, turning basic local storage into an advanced shared storage system with snapshots, replication , and mirroring.

The Free iSCSI SAN offering provides up to 2 TB of storage capacity, 8 Timemark and Snapshot copies, mirroring, replication with compression and encryption, and 5 data center clients, and can by upgraded in place if you outgrow the provided capabilities.

Network Integrity Services Ltd acquires Canto Technologies Ltd of Manchester

Canto is an Altrincham based company providing Technical services to 23 SME customers committed on 3 to 5 year maintenance contracts, other accounts are serviced on a Time and Material based arrangement. The acquisition represents a good fit to the existing NIS Technical services business with opportunities to increase customer benefits by cross selling value add services whilst taking advantage of efficiency gains. This is an important step in our development therefore, as you can imagine we are very excited by the opportunity to deliver the potential we believe Canto offers.

During the short-term Canto will continue to trade as a separate business with a view to possibly migrating to NIS at a later date. The transaction has been completed on very favourable cash-flow terms leaving NIS strongly positioned to pursue further controlled growth.
