NIM will alert you to situations where performance falls outside parameters that you set and will also record performance over time so you can determine if systems need upgrading. NIM will monitor all network components and servers and can be configured to provide monitoring services on many non hardware items such as backup status etc. NIM can also include web usage analysis if required.
